Following a public hearing on amending the boundary of TIF 3 an ordinance approved by Council reflecting the boundary changes is required. All property owners and residents of the area inside of the current TIF3 boundary as well as for the area to be added (all owned by the City) have been notified of the public hearing via mail and have been provided an opportunity to make public comment on the subject during the public hearing.
The TIF 3 boundary will be adjusted adding the Community Center and Nall Park land. This expansion will allow for use of TIF3 funds to complete improvements on these two sites, specifically the extension of Skyline Drive west to provide a direct street and sidewalk connection from Roe Boulevard to the Community Center/Aquatic Center/Sports Dome as well as sidewalk connections to Nall Park. In addition, resources would be available to complete amenity improvements at the park as well as site improvements at the Community Center/Aquatic Center. |
